Olive wood is known for its strength and resilience. The natural oils in olive wood make it water resistant. Our olive beads are untreated, no olive oil or varnish has been applied to them. If you wish, you can occasionally treat the olive wood beads with some olive oil for a shinier effect.
Obsidian is formed by rapidly cooling magma; this resulting hardened material is volcanic glass. Obsidian has a typical deep black colour but due to inclusion of gas bubbles it may also get a golden sheen.
Lava is a type of rock formed by a volcanic eruption, when the lava cools it becomes solid and porous. Due to the porosity, the lava stone is lightweight and therefore perfect to wear. It is also an ideal carrier for essential oil or perfume.

**This article is also suitable as a diffuser due to the presence of olive wood and lava in the design. Just add 1 drop of your favourite essential oil to the olive or lava beads. Discoloration may appear, which is completely normal. Enjoy the scent of your favourite essential oil, while wearing your precious piece of jewelry.
